Volunteer Committees

· Night At the Races Committee

 – location, date, & time = TBD (most likely in March 2025)

The NAR committee will work with FAHB for both planning & executing the event. They will supply volunteers to cover all needed tasks as stated below.

          

o  Check-In

o  Basket Raffle & 50/50 Sales

o  Bet Takers

o  Set Up / Clean Up

o  Obtaining, picking up, & organizing raffle backdate donations.

o  Other tasks as needed.


·  Golf Outing Committee

 – Birdsfoot Golf Course – 8/4/2024

The Golf outing committee will work with FAHB for both planning & executing the event.  They will supply volunteers to cover all needed tasks as stated below


o  Set Up / Clean Up

o  Participant Check-In

o  Basket Raffle / 50/50 ticket sales

o  Obtaining hole sponsors

o   Obtaining, picking up, & organizing raffle backdate donations.

o  Other tasks as needed.


·Individual Fundraising Committee

FAHB offers several fundraising opportunities throughout the season that benefit the individual player’s accounts. The Fundraising Committee is responsible for set up, initiation, & delivery of all individual fundraisers.  They will serve as the main contact for all individual fundraisers and will be responsible for but not limited to the following.

o  Distribute fundraising information to all families.  

o  Collect orders / payments.

o  Submit orders to the fundraiser organization.

o  Pick up / sort (if necessary), & provide a pickup location, date, & time for families to pick up what they sold. 

o Communicate player profits to the board within one week of the close of the fundraiser.


 Spirit Sale Committee –

FAHB offers several online spirit sales that remain open 24/7/365.  The links to these sales are available on our website.  Families can order at any time & the apparel will be shipped directly to them. In the past we would offer one Spirit Sale around the holidays that we would coordinate with a local apparel designer (Tees’N’Tops) that would have limited options with one design choice. However, now that we have several online spirit sales that offer a plethora of apparel items with multiple different designs are always available (Squad Locker & Keystone Apparel) we really have no need for the “holiday sale.  However, we would love to hold a spirit sale which features some different items.  For instance – branded tumblers, personalized ornaments, garden flags, hats, etc.  With that being said the Spirit Sale committee would be responsible for creating some type of Spirit Sale which would be offered around the holidays.  


Sponsorship Committee

The corporate sponsorship committee is responsible for obtaining monetary sponsorships from local businesses which will feature their company logo / information on the dasher boards at that rink for the entire 24-25 season. 


Banquet Committee

The banquet committee will work with FAHB in organizing the end of season banquet.
